Answering the phone

In graduate school, I read John Welwood's Perfect Love, Imperfect Relationships, and it completely shattered and rebuilt my worldview. Have you ever read a book that changed everything for you?

To my absolute delight, I discovered John ran a weekly group just north of San Francisco. I was desperate to join and learn from him. But, there was a small problem? Like most grad students, I didn't have two pennies to rub together.

I applied anyway with a bold pitch: "If you need extra help, I am savvy and can do almost anything."

Cut to Super Bowl Sunday. I was at a friend's party when an unknown number flashed on my phone. (Back then, we actually answered those.) I ran into the bathroom, beer in hand, and hit accept. I’ll never forget the sheer shock of hearing John’s voice on the other end. I was talking a mile a minute, totally rambling, when he stopped me and said, "Well, my assistant just moved away. Let’s try it out."

I ended up assisting John from 2011 until his passing in 2019. What I gained over those eight years goes far beyond what words can do justice. I wasn’t ready for him to leave. But with a mentor of John’s depth, skill, and wisdom, I don’t think I ever would have been ready to say goodbye.

Having John in my corner deeply shaped my life, my work, and how I guide up-and-coming practitioners today. I know firsthand the profound impact of an elder saying "yes" to you, seeing your potential, and pulling you up. John's belief in me is the exact reason I began mentoring practitioners in 2021.

Now, it’s my turn to pass the torch. And it's my turn to make that call.

If this work keeps finding you

People tell you things. At dinner, the conversation about sex somehow lands at your end of the table. You've read the books nobody assigned.

Maybe you're a therapist whose clients keep bringing sex into the room. Maybe you're a coach ready to make this your whole practice. Maybe you've spent years doing something else and can't stop thinking about this.

Was asking her mom for every book on sex she could get her hands on before she was a teenager.

Both now have a thriving private practice.

When people have meaningful, connected, pleasurable sex, they soften.

They get less defended and more compassionate. Someone cuts them off on the freeway, the coffee order comes out wrong, and it rolls right off them. Imagine helping people get there for a living.

We need more people who can do this, and they need to be exceptionally well trained. I'd love for you to be one of them.

You may also be scared. Will clients like me? What if I don't have the answer? What if I can't do this? Every practitioner who has ever started has felt this way at some point. Those questions come with you to our first session.

What we work on

Clients will tell you things they have never told anyone. That is an extraordinary responsibility, and the hardest moments rarely appear in a textbook.

The Human Realities of Deep Practice

The most critical growth happens when we look at the things practitioners are usually too afraid to admit. This is the space where you can bring the shadow side of client work:

  • Countertransference: Managing unexpected attraction, intense dislike, or triggers with a client.
  • Value Clashes: Navigating the rupture when a client's ethics or worldview clash violently with yours.
  • Boundary Erosion: Handling late arrivals, unpaid invoices, and clients who consistently bleed past the hour.
  • Clinical Stagnation: Facing the terrifying moment when you are completely out of answers.
There is no judgment here. We look at these moments together, think through them strategically, and transform your biggest challenges into clinical breakthroughs.
The Art of True Mastery
A textbook can give you theory, but this mentorship program will give you a highly attuned nervous system. Over three years, you will master the clinical and somatic skills required to:

  • Anchor the Storm: Hold a powerful, anchored session when things become deeply emotional and intense.
  • Co-Regulate the Chaos: Stay profoundly grounded and present when a client is highly activated.
  • Disarm Shame: Work gently and effectively with client shame without accidentally reinforcing it.
  • Untangle Projection: Instantly discern what belongs to you, what belongs to your client, and what belongs to the relational space between you.
  • Honor Boundaries: Recognize the precise edge of your scope of practice and master the art of the elegant referral.
  • Heal Ruptures: Turn relational breakdowns and client tension into massive breakthroughs through masterful rupture repair.
  • Anchor Success: Celebrate and integrate your clients’ true progress so they deeply absorb their own growth.
  • Protect Your Energy: Build a sustainable, boundaries-first practice that prevents burnout and honors your lifestyle.
The Methodology & Your Sovereignty

My approach is deeply integrated, drawing from somatic, mindfulness, experiential, relational, and embodiment-based traditions. But I don’t believe in teaching rote techniques. I want you to deeply understand why you are reaching for a specific clinical tool, not just how to use it.

You do not need to become a clone of me. In fact, I don't want that.

True mentorship isn’t about creating carbon copies—it’s about helping you find your own center. You will leave this three-year container standing firmly on your own two feet, carrying your own unique voice, your own customized toolbox, and your own masterful way of working.
The Referral Network: I Don’t Just Train You—I Help Fill Your Practice.
Building a sustainable practice means getting your name in front of the right people. Because I maintain a consistently long waiting list, I take that burden off your shoulders by sharing my platform with you. As my mentee, my overflow becomes your opportunity.
When inquiries hit my inbox that match your unique voice and zone of genius, I will send them straight to you.
  • Elite Placement: You will be prominently featured on my website as a trusted member of my extended team, instantly boosting your professional credibility.
  • Amplified Visibility: I actively champion my mentees, regularly leveraging my newsletter, blog posts, and global podcast appearances to spotlight your work.
  • Direct Referrals: When individuals and couples write to me looking for deep intimacy coaching, you are the first person I recommend.
When the world comes knocking on my door looking for this sacred work, I hand them your keys.

    • 100% Online & Global: A three-year immersive training designed to fit into your life, wherever you happen to live and practice.
    • Dual-Layer Mentorship: You don't have to choose between individual guidance and community. You get both one-on-one mentorship and collaborative group sessions.
    • Real-Time Lifeline: When you hit a messy client situation in real life, you won't have to wait weeks for answers. Between sessions, you have direct access to me for urgent support.
An Intimate Container: Strictly Limited to 3 Practitioners.
I do not run mass-market courses. This is a high-proximity mentorship. Because of the direct client referrals and hands-on guidance you receive, there are only three spots available.

Who can apply

A master's degree in therapy is required. From there, this mentorship suits:

  • Coaches and therapists who have finished their education and want to start a private practice
  • Experienced coaches and therapists who want to focus on sex and relationships
  • Therapists who want more depth in embodiment, eroticism, desire, and intimacy

Still working toward your degree? Keep going. I'd love to hear from you when you have it. Choose "Keep me posted" on the form below, and read my guide to choosing a mentor in the meantime. It will help you wherever you end up training.

The Nature of This Container

I am an embodied sex and relationship coach. Early in my career, I made a conscious, strategic choice not to pursue state licensure as a psychotherapist so I could work freely at the cutting edge of somatics, intimacy, and eroticism.

Because of this, this mentorship is structured strictly for advanced professional development.
  •
  • For Associate-Level Practitioners: This program does not provide official clinical supervision hours toward state licensure. If you are tracking hours for your board, you will need to maintain a separate relationship with a board-approved supervisor.
  •
  • For Fully Licensed Clinicians: Many of my mentees are already fully licensed sex therapists and psychotherapists. They enter this container specifically to step out of sterile clinical models and deeply expand their capacity to hold raw sexuality, desire, and embodiment.

Who You Will Learn From

I have been actively coaching individuals and couples since 2010. My work bridges rigorous clinical foundations with deep, somatic inquiry. I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy, am a Certified Sexological Bodyworker, and am deeply trained in the Hakomi method of somatic psychotherapy.
Beyond my academic training, my methodology was forged through an eight-year apprenticeship under master psychologist John Welwood, whom I assisted until 2019.
Today, my work sits at the forefront of the modern embodiment movement:
  • Media & Reach: My insights have been featured in Oprah Daily and HuffPost, and I have shared my methodology as a guest on more than forty global podcasts..
  • Proven Legacy: I began expanding my lineage in 2021, and our inaugural cohort of master practitioners successfully completed this three-year program in 2024.

Questions

How do I know if I'm ready?

Nobody feels ready. You need the degree, real curiosity about this work, and a willingness to look at yourself. The rest is what we do together.

Will I see clients through your practice?

Yes. You'll be listed on my site, I promote my mentees through my newsletter, blog posts, and podcasts, and I send clients your way.

Do I receive a certificate?

Yes. When you complete the three years, you receive a certificate in the Sex and Relationship Embodiment Program. It is not a license. You leave with three years of practice behind you and your own way of working.

What happens when the three years end?

You go off on your own. That has been the plan since our first session.
